OT1 - Saturday 20 March 2010
Majestic Melbourne
Time: 1300 – 1630 hours
Minimum of 20 pax required

Melbourne has a well-earned reputation for its culture, sporting events and feast of flavours as the culinary centre of Australia.  The city’s elegant 19th century architecture and beautiful public gardens are stunning reminders of an optimistic age.

Highlights of this tour include the bustling city centre, the Shrine of Remembrance, Victorian Arts Centre, Melbourne Cricket Ground and Olympic Park, Spenser Street Station, Federation Square, the Royal Botanic Gardens and Albert Park Lake and the Grand Prix site.  During the tour view the panorama of this glorious city and its surrounds during a visit up to the Observation Deck of Rialto Towers.

Cost:   A$70 per person

Includes luxury coach touring, knowledgeable guide and entry fee to Rialto Tower.

OT2 - Thursday 25 March 2010
Museums and Galleries of Victoria
Time: 1330 – 1700 hours
Minimum of 25 pax required

Enjoy the wonderful culture of Melbourne by visiting the Melbourne Museum and National Gallery of Victoria.  These award winning museum and gallery comprise more than 20,000 works including the NGV’s collection of Australian art which is one of the oldest and best known in the country.  You can also explore a rainforest, see the famous Pharlap and learn about the Aboriginal culture at Bunjilaka which hosts one of the most significant collections of Aboriginal cultural heritage items in the world.

Cost: A$70 per person

Includes luxury coach touring, knowledgeable guide, afternoon tea, entry fee into Museum and Gallery.

OT3 - Sunday 21 March 2010
Penguin Parade to Phillip Island
Time: 1500 – 2300 hours
Minimum of 20 pax required

Phillip Island boasts two of Australia’s greatest natural attractions, Seal Rocks and the Penguin Reserve.  This late afternoon tour features the Fairy Penguins at Phillip Island Nature Park and the Fur Seals.  Depart Melbourne for Phillip Island, where the Little Penguins that nest there perform a “parade” every evening – emerging from the sea and waddling up the beach to their burrows.  Be privy to one nature’s most spectacular shows – a few minutes after sunset from the premium viewing area.

Cost: A$198 per person

Includes luxury coach touring, knowledgeable guide, afternoon tea stop at Wildlife Park, entry to viewing platform during penguin parade and 2 course dinner with 1 glass of wine.

OT4 - Monday 22 March 2010
Yarra Valley Food and Wine
Time: 0900 – 1730 hours
Minimum of 2 pax required

Visit world famous Yarra Valley for a day of Fine food and wine. Travel through the Dandenong ranges to arrive at the destination - the Yarra Valley.  Visit 3 premier wineries for personalised wine tastings, sample local cheeses and enjoy a delicious 2 course lunch at a vineyard restaurant before returning to the city.

Cost: A$185 per person

Includes luxury vehicle touring, knowledgeable guide, cheese and wine tastings, 2 course Lunch with one glass of wine.

OT5 - Tuesday 23 March 2010
Healesville Sanctuary and Blue Dandenong Ranges
Time: 1000 – 1730 hours
Minimum of 2 pax required

Tall mountain ash forests guide you into the spectacular Blue Dandenong Ranges.  Tour through the richness of the Yarra Valley - a pastoral experience of farms and vineyards, haystacks and wine grapes.  Healesville Sanctuary - a truly Australian experience - cradled in the forested foothills of the Great Divide where you can surround yourself with Australian Wildlife.  Taste Australian wines at Fergusson's Winery, a noted Yarra Valley wine producer and enjoy a delicious spit roast lunch as guests of Peter and Louise Fergusson

Cost: A$152 per person

Includes luxury coach touring, knowledgeable guide, entry to the Healesville Sanctuary, Wine tasting and lunch at Fergusson's Winery.

Optional Evening Social Events

OS1 - Tuesday 23 March 2010
Dinner at the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant
Time: 2035 – 2330 hours
Minimum 2 pax for non exclusive dinning (or 36 for exclusive carriage)

Melbourne is known for its trams, leafy boulevards and grand culinary experiences.  This three hour dining experience combines all these things.  Onboard the lovingly restored and decorated 1920s tramcar, guests will enjoy a 5 course meal, including beverages, while the tramcar travels around Melbourne.

Dining aboard the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant is not only a culinary delight, but also a trip into a little piece of Victoria's history.

Cost: A$130 per person

Includes 5 course meal onboard and selected beverages.  Guests to make their own way to departure point.

OS2 - Wednesday 24 March 2010
Performance at the Arts Centre

The Arts Centre is the flagship of the performing arts in Victoria, and the focal point of Melbourne's cultural precinct. It is owned by the people of Victoria, and is honoured by Australia’s top performing arts organisations such as the Australian Ballet, Opera Australia and Melbourne Theatre Company.

Performance prices and times will be announced in December 2009 and a performance will be selected at the time.

Terms and Conditions

These tours are a combination of private tours and seat in coach tours designed by arinex Destination Management (license No. 2TA001144), for participating delegates and accompanying persons of WCIM 2010 Melbourne.  All sightseeing tours include informative English speaking commentary, all entry fees and meals where specified. Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended for all tours.  For any outdoor tours we recommend that participants bring sun protection cream, sunhat and sunglasses.

All tours are based on a minimum number of participants.  If minimum numbers are not reached, alternative arrangements or a complete refund will be made.  Places on all tours are limited and will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of payment.  Where participants cancel their day tour bookings prior to 1 February 2010, payment will be refunded in full.  Thereafter, no refund will be made.
